  The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is comprised of Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and nine cities in Guangdong Province, covers an area of 56,000 square kilometers, with a population of more than 70 million, and boasts an economic volume of RMB 11.5 trillion. Situated at the Pearl River Delta, it is one of the regions in China with the highest level of openness and most vigorous economy. It’s one of the four major bay areas in the world.
  On February 18, 2019, the outline development plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was officially released, positioning the Greater Bay Area as a vibrant world-class city cluster, a globally influential technological innovation center, a great support to the joint construction of the Belt and Road, a demonstration zone for in-depth cooperation between the mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao, and a high-quality living circle. The area’s future development goal is to ensure that an innovation-driven economic system and development model will be formed by 2035, with greatly improved economic and sci-tech strength and further heightened international competitiveness and influence.
  Over the past two years, the comprehensive strength of the Greater Bay Area has been significantly enhanced, the cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao has become closer and more extensive, and the livelihood of people has greatly improved. Moreover, it has become a dream land for young people to discover new opportunities and start their own businesses, hence fully demonstrating the advantages of the “one country, two systems” policy.
