贵州地处云贵高原,国土面积中山地和丘陵占92.5%,是全国惟一没有平原支撑的山区省,农村人口占85.5%。2003年～2004年,全省累计投入农村公路建设资金64亿元,改造县际及农村公路9000公里,修建通村公路14000公里,沟通1934个不通公路的行政村。省交通厅与地方政府共同筹资建设通乡油路1129公里,新增86个乡(镇)通油路(水泥路)。2002年底全省实现县县通油路、乡乡通公路。
Guizhou is located in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, with an area of 92.5% of the total area of the mountains and hills. It is the only mountainous province without plain support in the country, accounting for 85.5% of the rural population. From 2003 to 2004, the province invested a total of 6.4 billion yuan in rural road construction funds, renovated 9,000 kilometers of inter-county and rural highways, built 14,000 kilometers of Tong Village Highway and communicated 1,934 administrative villages that are not accessible to highways. The provincial Department of Communications and local governments jointly financed the construction of 1129 kilometers of Tongxiang oil road and 86 additional township (town) oil passage (cement road). The province by the end of 2002 to achieve county road, Township Road.
