文化部召开的全国公共图书馆工作会议,于1992年12月15日至18日在广西壮族自治区柳州市举行。这次会议的任务是贯彻落实十四大精神,用邓小平同志建设有中国特色社会主义理论统一思想,探索在新形势下图书馆工作的改革方向。各省市(自治区)、计划单列市文化厅局(文管会)和图书馆的负责同志共130人参加了会议。文化部副部长刘德有在开幕式上作了题为《贯彻党的十四大精神,深化图书馆改革,更好地为现代化建设服务》的重要报告。广西区委宣传部、文化厅和柳州市委、市人大、市政府的领导出席了开幕式。
The National Public Library Work Conference convened by the Ministry of Culture was held in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from December 15 to December 18, 1992. The task of this conference is to implement the spirit of the “National Congress of the CPC”, use Comrade Deng Xiaoping’s theory of building a unified theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics and explore the direction of the reform of library work in the new situation. A total of 130 persons in charge of various provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, cities separately designated by the State Planning Municipality (Municipality for Cultural Affairs) and libraries took part in the meeting. At the opening ceremony, Liu Deyou, vice minister of Ministry of Culture, delivered an important report titled “Implementing the Spirit of the 14th Party Congress, Deepening the Library Reform and Better Serving the Modern Construction.” Guangxi Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department, Department of Culture and Liuzhou Municipal Party Committee, Municipal People’s Congress, the leadership of the municipal government attended the opening ceremony.
