长期以来,众多海洋科学家对南海的研究投入了大量的时间和精力.过去对南海的研究多局限于季风驱动的封闭和半封闭海盆,南海通过吕宋海峡与太平洋存在密切的水交换,但对环流形态的认知仍表现为半封闭边缘海海盆环流特征.南海仅仅被动接受外部水体的影响吗?在沟通热带太平洋和印度洋环流过程中,南海是否占有一席之地?王东晓、方国洪等人的获奖成果“南海与邻近热带区域的海洋联系及动力机制”将南海在沟通邻近海域的重要性提升 For a long time, many marine scientists have devoted a great deal of time and energy to the study of the South China Sea.In the past, the research on the South China Sea was mostly confined to the monsoon-driven closed and semi-enclosed basins. The South China Sea had close water exchanges with the Pacific Ocean through the Luzon Strait. The cognition of the circulation pattern still shows the characteristics of the semi-enclosed edge sea basin circulation. Is the South China Sea only passively accepting the influence of external water body? Is there a place for the South China Sea to communicate during the circulation of the tropical Pacific and the Indian Ocean?
