通过对河南省洛阳市及所属县区二十三所中学的美术教学状况展开调查后发现,在当前的中学美术课堂教学中,中学美术教学开课情况严重不足,而且主要还是以简单的绘画技巧来评定学生美术成绩的好坏,忽略了对学生审美想象能力和审美观的培养。初中美术教学的成效还是相对低下的,急需开展初中美术教学改革,那么,要改变以往的美术教育教学模式,就必须更新传统的教学方法和教育理念。
