石黑一雄的小说《长日留痕》以主人公史蒂文斯游览西南乡村的情节架构起基本叙事。小说承续流行于20世纪初的游记文学样式,把对英国国民身份的探寻寓于主人公隐喻式的旅行中,用风景再现帝国的记忆。本文立足于风景作为一种文化符号与帝国话语间的联系,探讨小说对战后英国国民身份的重构,揭示作者反对80年代的怀旧保守风潮、主张在帝国和殖民的历史语境中建构英国性的政治立场。
Ishiguro’s novel “Long-lasting marks” with the hero Stevens tour of Southwest Village plot structure from the basic narrative.
