The standard extract of gingko biloba (EGb 761) is widely used in neurodegenerative diseases and is associated with its antioxidative effects, but its mechanism of action is still unclear. The effects of antioxidant enzymes and lipid peroxidation on rat hippocampus, striatum and substantia nigra were observed.
