北京市这次中学数学竞賽会的考試情况,大致和往年一样,竞賽結果和試題的关系很大,所以把試题分析一下是有必要的,——主要限于第二試試題。过去几年竞賽会第二試試题原則上要有灵活性,不拘于现成格式,又要題目的論据在中学数学知識范围以內。今年拟題的原則还是这样,但是在計算方面的要求提高了些。第一試仍然是要測驗同学的基本功夫;可是高三第一試的第四題,本来是为第二試拟的,当时以为它在第二試里偏于容易,就放在第一試里了,于是高三試題显得重了些。总的看来,每个試題有它的分量,犹如去年許多数学家所說的,假若自己参加竞賽,說不定也会觉得并不輕松。虽然如此,不論高二或高三,一試或二試,每个题都有答得很好的同学,而且有的解法是我們拟題討論时沒有想到的,可見我們的中学生里确有不少人在学习数学方面是很有前途的。这是我們人人都高兴的。
