Oral contraceptives can make women’s blood pressure, but the reasons for this side effect is not clear. Early studies have shown that in ovariectomized rats, the oral contraceptive, Enovid, is associated with elevated systolic blood pressure and enlarged heart after 8 months. The purpose of this experiment is to observe the situation of normal rats taking medicine and to study the incidence of hypertension. The first group of experiments: oral feeding of oral contraceptives norethindrone 7.5 mg / kg feed, fed for 20 weeks, causing elevated systolic blood pressure, and heart weight / body weight and kidney weight / body weight ratio increase. The second group of experiments: female rats fed the same dose for 24 weeks, carotid artery catheterization directly measured systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and mean blood pressure were significantly increased. The third group of experiments: female rats fed the same dose of acetylenomethanone 0.15 moles of sodium chloride
