Canadian vehicle companies are designing new double-decker buses that are scheduled to operate in late-1986 Toronto-Cochrane-Kapska new night trains. This will be Canada’s first long-haul double-deck passenger trains. The ONR (North Northern Ontario) contract order is for six sleeper cars plus two buses with eating and entertainment equipment. Although the design has not yet been finalized, the size of these double-decker buses will be the same size as the GO Transit double-decker buses currently operating in the Toronto area.
