同志们、朋友们: 在举国上下刚刚欢庆香港回归祖国之后,我们又满怀喜悦地迎来了中国人民解放军建军七十周年。 我代表中共中央、国务院、中央军委,向守卫在祖国各地和奋斗在国家建设各条战线的解放军指战员、武警官兵、预备役军人和广大民兵,致以节日的祝贺！向转业退伍军人、革命伤残军人和烈军属,致以亲切的问候！向辛勤工作在国防科技工业战线的科学家、工程技术人员和广大干部职工,表示衷心的感谢！向在革命战争中出生入死、建立功勋和为国防建设作出重要贡献的广大离退休同志,表示崇高的敬意！
Comrades and friends: After the entire country just celebrated the return of Hong Kong to the motherland, we welcomed with joy the seventieth anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army. On behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council and the Central Military Commission, I congratulate the fighters on guarding all over the motherland and people’s liberation army commanders and soldiers, armed police officers, reservists and the general militia who are striving to build each front in our country. Deliver warm regards to the retired veterans, revolutionary disabled soldiers and the strong army. I would like to express my heart-felt thanks to scientists, engineers and technicians and cadres and workers who work hard in the national defense science and technology industry.
