经过20多年的改革和发展,我国城镇居民已告别住房严重短缺时代,人均住宅建筑面积由1978年的7平方米提高到2001年的21平方米,但是城镇居民住房苦乐不均的问题仍然相当普遍,尤其是欠发达地区的低收入者居住条件亟待改善。据悉,为了确保广大城镇中低收入者人人享有适当住房,有关方面正在酝酿出台新的政策为老百姓安居乐业提供基础性保障。
After more than 20 years of reform and development, urban residents in China have bid farewell to the era of severe shortage of housing and the per capita residential construction area has risen from 7 square meters in 1978 to 21 square meters in 2001. However, the problem of unequal urban residents’ housing is still considerable In general, the living conditions of low-income earners in the less developed regions are in urgent need of improvement. It is learned that in order to ensure adequate housing for all middle and low income people in urban areas, relevant departments are preparing new policies to provide basic guarantees for people to live and work in peace and contentment.
