Based on linear polarization, Cormon Ltd. has greatly improved its ability to measure corrosion rates in aqueous media. This technique was originally used to determine the rate of corrosion between two or more electrodes immersed in a tube or vessel. After a small increase in voltage, the current between the electrodes is proportional to the corrosion rate. This value can be converted directly to inches / year, mm / year. The measurement of the corrosion rate between the current and the electrodes made of the same material as the factory means that it is possible to predict the corrosion of the pipe or vessel under liquid or wet conditions of storage and transport.
