茶毛虫(Euproctis Pseudocons persaStrand)是我省山区茶树的一种主要害虫。一般以周期性猖獗发生,但有的茶区常年均有出现不同程度的为害。省茶科所1978年采集、分离获得的茶毛虫核型多角体病毒福建一号毒株,经多年来在各地的试验情况表明:对茶毛虫有良好的防除效果。为使该病毒在生产上作为杀虫剂推广应用并产生经济效益,1985年我们将去年10月在凤阳乡复制的病毒致死虫制作成毒液后,于4月30日～5月7日陆续散发给全乡的茶农和专业户使用。至5月22日茶农普遍反映效果良好。现报告如下:
