日前,TCL和日本东芝联合在佛山市南海区组建的东芝TCL家用电器制造(南海)有限公司,正式成立并举行奠基动工仪式,将共同生产销售两个品牌的冰箱、洗衣机产品。据悉,双方将共同投资5000万美元,在佛山市南海区组建两家包括制造与销售的合资公司,生产制造、销售冰箱、洗衣机。该生产基地,占地15万平方米,计划今年内投产,第一年度将生产冰箱70万台、洗衣机30万台；三至五年后,将年产电冰箱200万台、洗衣机150万台。按照东芝的计划,该合资公司将建成东芝全球最大的冰洗制造基地。

It is learned that the two sides will jointly invest 50 million US dollars in Nanhai District of Foshan City, including the establishment of two manufacturing and sales of joint ventures, manufacturing, sales of refrigerators, washing machines. The production base covers an area of 150,000 square meters and plans to put into operation this year. In the first year, it will produce 700,000 refrigerators and 300,000 washing machines. After three to five years, it will annually produce 2 million refrigerators and 1.5 million washing machines . According to Toshiba’s plan, the joint venture will be built Toshiba’s largest ice-washing manufacturing base in the world.
