用纳秒级激光光解方法研究了2个双吡咯类乙烯衍生物,2,3-二(1-对甲氧基苯基-5-苯基2-甲基-3-吡咯基)-2-丁烯(BPE1)和2,3-二(1-对溴苯基-4-苯基-2-甲基-3-吡咯基)-2-丁烯(BPE2)的光致变色现象。研究结果表明,这类化合物的光环化反应主要是通过激发三重态进行的,而顺-反异构化反应主要是通过激发单重态进行的,在紫外激光激发后BPE1既可进行环化反应,又可进行顺-反异构化反应,但以光环化反应为主。然而,BPE2在激光激发后主要进行光环化反应,异构化反应只是微量产物。文中还讨论了取代基对光致变色反应的影响。
