黑龙江省林区开发于清光绪廿一年(1895年),至今已有90多年的历史,现有森林面积1664万公顷,森林活立木总蓄积15.01亿立方米。建国以来,全省国有林区建立了48个林业局,市县浅山区建立了368个国营林场,形成了一支包括营林、木材采运、加工等专业组成的50多万人的职工队伍。到1985年年末为止,全省共营造人工林185万公顷;抚育天然幼壮林200万公顷;通过封山育林,在采伐迹地、火烧迹地上恢复天然次生林441万公顷;生产木材4.3亿立方
The forest area of Heilongjiang Province was developed in the 21st year of Qing Emperor Guangxu (1895) and has been in existence for more than 90 years. The existing forest area is 16,640,000 hectares and the total volume of live forest stands is 1.51 billion cubic meters. Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, 48 forestry bureaus have been established in the state-owned forest areas in the province and 368 state-owned forest farms have been established in the shallow mountainous areas of the cities and counties, forming a workforce of more than 500,000 people, including silviculture, timber harvesting, processing and other professionals . By the end of 1985, a total of 1.85 million hectares of plantations were to be cultivated in the province; 2 million hectares of natural young and Zhuang forests were nurtured; 4.41 million hectares of natural secondary forests were restored through cutting hillsides and burned areas; and 430 million cubic meters of timber
