Objective To investigate the expression of Tenascin in invasive glioma and evaluate the relationship between Tenascin and microvessel density MVD and the prognosis of glioma. Methods The expression of tenascin and CD34 in 35 glioma tissues of different pathological grades were observed by immunohistochemistry. The patients were followed up. Results There was significant difference in the expression of Tenascin and MVD between different pathological grades of glioma cytoplasm. The expression of Tenascin was correlated with MVD (P <0.01). Kaplan-Meier survival curves showed that the expression of Tenascin and MVD correlated with the prognosis of gliomas. Conclusion Tenascin is crucial in the invasive growth and metastasis of glioma. Tenascin and MVD promote the invasive growth of glioma and have an important reference value for judging the prognosis of patients.
