After the Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee, China’s civil aviation undertaking has made great progress. By the end of 1983, the total transport turnover increased by an average of 17% per annum, passenger shipments increased by 11% and cargo mail and baggage traffic increased by 12.7%. In 1984, the total transport turnover reached 900 million ton-kilometers, an increase of 37% over 1983.
