社会主义精神文明建设是社会主义社会的基本特征之一,是建设有中国特色社会主义理论的重要内容。党的十四届五中全会和八届全国人大四次会议明确提出,要把精神文明建设提到更加突出的地位,并把它正式列入已经组织实施的国民经济和社会发展“九五”计划和2010年远景目标这一跨世纪发展的宏伟纲要,预示着我国社会主义精神文明建设将迈上一个新台阶。我们必须始终不渝地把加强精神文明建设摆在重要的战略位置,努力把社会主义精神文明建设提高到一个新水平。
The construction of socialist spiritual civilization is one of the basic characteristics of a socialist society and an important part of building the theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The Fifth Plenary Session of the 14th Central Committee of the Party and the Fourth Session of the Eighth National People’s Congress made it clear that the construction of spiritual civilization should be referred to a more prominent position and be formally included in the Ninth Five-year Plan for National Economic and Social Development that has been already implemented. The grand outline of the plan and the long-term goal of 2010, which is a cross-century development, indicates that the construction of China’s socialist spiritual civilization will move to a new level. We must unswervingly put the building of spiritual civilization under an important strategic position and strive to raise the socialist spiritual civilization to a new level.
