最近,读到中国文联出版公司1996年重印的《音乐知识手册》一至四卷。这套书在1995年刚刚印过不久,又因很快售缺而再度印发的。本书的第一卷自1986年问世以来,已连续重印了七次,印数达12万册。对于音乐理论性工具书,又没有投入过宣传的力量,能有这样的效果和影响,确实是很不简单的。在第四卷的“前记”里有这样的话;这四卷书是经由国内许多专家学者,先后用了八、九年的时间陆续完成的。这套由专论所组成的工具书,内容包括56个专题,共计约170万字。如果加上相联系的三部专集:
Recently, I read Volume 1-4 of the “Handbook of Music Knowledge” reprinted by China Federation of Literary and Art Publishing Company in 1996. The book was printed shortly after 1995 and was reissued for lack of availability. Since the publication of the first volume of this book in 1986, it has been reprinted seven times in a row with a print count of 120,000 copies.
