The analysis of low activity 90 Sr in biological and radiotoxic samples is generally the measurement of the short-lived daughter, 90 Y, after separation from the mother nucleus. In accordance with standard radiochemical analysis procedures, samples of mixed radionuclides are first destructed by ashing or wet oxidation and then subjected to appropriate radiochemical separation. In order to ensure the growth of most of (90) Y (T ½ (1/2) = 64.1 hours), it is usually necessary to leave it for 10 to 14 days before radioactivity measurement. If Cerenkov-induced Cerenkov radiation is rapidly grown on ~ (90) Sr samples that have just been separated out, the placement time can be greatly reduced. Tune
