Objective To investigate the status of blood lipid metabolism in patients with hypothyroidism in pregnancy and its value in the disease. Methods Thirty patients with hypothyroidism in pregnancy were selected as the observation group. Thirty healthy pregnant women in the same period of obstetrics were selected as the control group, and 30 healthy non-pregnant women in the same period were selected as the blank group. All subjects were tested for lipid levels. Results The levels of TG, TC and LDL-C in the observation group were higher than those in the control group and the blank group. The levels of HDL-C in the peripheral blood of the observation group were lower than those in the control group and the blank group. TG, TC and LDL-C in the control group were higher than those in the blank group. The above differences were statistically significant (P <0.05 or P <0.01). Conclusion The abnormal changes of pathological lipid levels during pregnancy complicated with hypothyroidism may be involved in the hypothyroidism process. Monitoring the lipid metabolism level has certain clinical significance for early diagnosis of disease and evaluation of severity.
