A simulating experimental device for journal bearin gs of engines is established by use of the mechanism of ultrasonic vibrationTh is device can make the pressure inside the oil film changed at ultrasonic freque ncy,which enable the specimen surface to be damaged by cavitation erosion in a c omparatively short timeConnecting with the bubbly oilproducing device,this r ig can investigate the influence of bubbly oil on the cavitation erosionThroug h detailed experimental research it is found that the bubbly oil decreases the c avitation erosion in journal bearings of enginesThis result is analyzed reason ably from mechanism of cavitation erosion
