《诗家鼎脔》一书,历来认为是宋佚名或元佚名编选,惟丁日昌《持静斋书目》载此书编者为戴复古。此说虽不知所据,然据戴复古生平经历及与《诗家鼎脔》所选九十余位诗人之交游唱和之事实,可以作为《持静斋书目》之旁证,判定为戴复古无疑。《诗家鼎脔》可视为江湖诗派之微型选本,更是戴复古个人好友的诗歌选集。
