我院是拥有一千五百职工,技术人员占一千一百人的建筑设计院。三十多年来,设计了人民大会堂、首都体育馆、首都机场新候机楼、中国国际展览中心和昆仑饭店等一系列重要建筑,为首都建设做出了一定的贡献。随着四化建设的突飞猛进,我院每年就要出一千多项设计,五百多万平方米的任务,近二十亿的投资,所承担的设计任务要求越来越高,技术越来越复杂。我院的技术队伍虽然水平较高,力量较雄厚,但也日渐跟不上飞速发展的形势,出现“人才紧张”
