“Pretend + V ” is a special structure of Chinese double verb “V1 + V2 ”, which will produce a logical problem on the surface of language: just from the surface of the sentence subject, “pretend ” followed by The verb “V ” creates a logical contradiction. For this logic problem, the traditional grammar can not reveal the essence of the problem. The constructive grammar of cognitive linguistics interprets “pretend + V ” as a unit of language use. Starting from the analysis of the surface language problem of “pretend + V ”, this article attempts to clarify the truth by using the explanation of cognitive linguistics: the use of language does not have to be limited by logic, and the possibility of language does not have to be equal to logic Possibly, it is not necessary to satisfy the facts.
