金叶莸为马鞭草科莸属植物,是从兰香草和蒙古莸杂交后代中选育出的金叶品种,由美国引入我国。金叶莸的两个亲本在我国均有分布,蒙古莸原产我国河北、山西、内蒙古、甘肃等地。兰香草分布于我国江苏、安徽、浙江、江西、湖南、湖北、广东、广西及福建等地。笔者所在的河北省任丘市华 Golden Leaf 莸 Verbenaceae genus, is from the vanilla hybrids and Mongolian 莸 cross-generation gold leaf varieties, from the United States into China.
