二十世纪三、四十年代,职业话剧体制的形成,促使话剧在上海空前繁荣,话剧作为一种戏剧艺术形式,成为几百万上海市民文化生活中不可缺少的一部分。这一时期的话剧更多的是作为大众文化产品存在的,它的消长虽然有社会形态变迁、行政管理的因素,但主要是市场之手在操控。凡是有出色票房表现的作品,无不是成功地传诉了市民的金钱观念、道德观念、爱情观念,表达了他们的情趣和韵味,满足了大众对话剧娱乐性的需求。本文分析了上海职业话剧在审美趣味上对市民心理的迎合,并客观指出其得失。
The formation of a professional drama system in the 1930s and 1940s promoted the unprecedented prosperity of the drama in Shanghai. As a dramatic art form, drama has become an indispensable part of the cultural life of millions of Shanghai citizens. The drama of this period is more as a mass culture product, its growth and decline despite social changes in the form of administrative factors, but mainly the hands of the market manipulation. All the works that have a good box office performance have all along successfully transmitted the citizens’ money concept, moral values and love conceptions, expressed their taste and charm, and satisfied the entertaining demands of the public dialogues. This article analyzes the cinematical cateredcy of the Shanghai professional drama to the citizens in terms of aesthetic taste and points out its gains and losses objectively.
