北京大都市街概况: 改造南城、开发南城,促进南城的繁荣与发展,是市委、市政府改变首都南北城发展差距,加快建设国际化大都市步伐而做出的重大战略部署。改扩建广安大街是市委、市政府开发南城的一个重要战略步伐,该工程列为市政府2000年度为市民所办的60件实事之一。为积极贯彻北京市重大战略部署,崇文区委、区政府提出了“借势造市,修一条路,建一条街,带来一片繁荣”的指导思想,“北京大都市街”就是在此背景下,伴随着广安大街的改扩建而开发建设的。
