中国作家阿垅写于抗战期间的作品《南京血祭》,与日本“笔部队”作家之一的石川达三描写侵华战争的作品《活着的士兵》,都关注战场上个体生命的体验,展现了战时各自国家军民的心理特点。阿垅着重展现的是民族仇恨情绪,相反石川达三侧重描绘的是厌战恐惧情绪;阿垅不忘对中国军民的一些消极心态与问题进行如实揭露,与之相对的是石川达三对日本士兵极端崇尚集体主义的描写,其中体现了两位作家共同的反映问题的意识与两国民族性格差异;而他们在创作中又体现了对本民族或亲近或疏远的写作立场。
