一种刀具的切削效率在很大程度上取决于刀具材料的性能。对于普通高速钢丝锥和板牙来说,切削效率是受限制的,因为在这些钢中,不可避免的会产生偏析及碳化物分布的不均匀。一般来说,这种刀具的淬火硬度为HRC63—65。图1所示的丝锥是采用含钴高速钢制造的,这种高速钢是用粉末冶金的方法制成的。粉末高速钢与普通高速钢相比,具有较高的合金成份,良好的韧性并且能使刀具的硬度达至HRC
The cutting efficiency of a tool depends very much on the tool material’s performance. Cutting efficiency is limited for conventional high-speed tap and die because segregation and uneven distribution of carbides inevitably occur in these steels. In general, the hardness of this tool is HRC63-65. The tap shown in Figure 1 is made of cobalt-containing high-speed steel, which is made by powder metallurgy.
