The Czochralski method has successfully grown a series of low doped Nd: YxGd1-xVO4 mixed crystals with different Gd / Y ratios and compared some of their basic properties. It is found that as the Gd content increases, the a, c axis constants Linear growth, so YVO4 and GdVO4 crystals can be infinitely miscible. A small amount of Gd doping can increase the specific heat and the fluorescence lifetime of the mixed crystal, and effectively increase its fluorescence intensity. We also studied the Cr4 +: YAG Q-switched laser performance under low-power pumping of the crystal and found that the Nd: YxGd1-xVO4 mixed crystal has good Q-switched performance.
