In the past 10 years, Chinese mushrooms have gradually replaced Japan in international trade and have become the main players in the market. Trade disputes have continued. Especially in recent years, there have been many new trends that can not be ignored. First, China’s export of dried shiitake mushrooms from 1997 started to exceed the 9000-ton mark (its domestic mushrooms dropped to less than 6,000 tons); the output of fresh shiitake mushrooms in Japan was still “zero” in 1994, 26,308 tons; in 2000 it increased to 42057 tons, accounting for 38.5% of its total consumption. Second, as a result of the mass transit of Chinese mushrooms to Japan, the sharp drop in prices has affected the incomes of Japanese mushroom farmers and aroused strong dissatisfaction. Japan has a total of mushroom farmers (including
