I started my journalism in 1940 and retired in September 1989. Today is the old man. More than half a century of ups and downs, fresh memories. Escape three times, is a page of the past, but also the silhouette of an old reporter of that era. The first survived escape January 7, 1941, “South Anhui Incident ” occurred. The Kuomintang authorities set off the second anti-communist climax and unlawfully trafficked communists and progressive people in places such as Fujian, Zhejiang and Jiangxi. At the time, I was working at Jinhua News Agency’s International Department, led by Fan Changjiang. In the evening of January 25, a few Kuomintang agents broke into our office and, without any explanation, arrested Chief Executive Ying Ying and I (I’m the office clerk) and put them in handcuffs and escorted them to Shangrao, Jiangxi Province overnight. Initially, it was put into a Maojialing prison, which specializes in prisoners of political prisoners. More than two months after his imprisonment, he was escorted to the notorious Shangrao concentration camp.
