2012年9月26日上午,首列火车佩戴红花驶出灌水站,沿着新建通(化)灌(水)铁路驶向吉林省通化市方向。至此,全长1380公里、地处东北亚、紧邻中朝、中俄边境的中国东北东部铁路通道(又名“东边道”铁路)全线打通。在东北铁路史上,东北东部铁路是浓墨重彩的一笔。如果说1903年通车的“中东铁路”是第一条贯通辽宁、吉林、黑龙江三省的铁路大动脉的话,那么,东北东部铁路就是连接三省的又一条铁路纽带。
On the morning of September 26, 2012, the first train wearing safflower leaves the irrigation station and sails along the newly built Tonghua (water) railway to Tonghua City, Jilin Province. At this point, the total length of 1,380 kilometers is located in Northeast Asia, and the entire northeastern China railway thoroughfare (aka “East Side Road”) close to the Sino-North Korean border and China-Russia border has been opened up. In the history of the Northeast Railway, the railway in the northeast part of the country is a success. If the “Middle East Railway” opened to traffic in 1903 was the first rail artery to pass through the three provinces of Liaoning, Jilin and Heilongjiang, then the Northeast Northeast Railway would be another railway link connecting the three provinces.
