本文叙述的是用在超临界压力和亚临界温度下的水冷却燃烧室的热设计方法,它基于水的有效数据和其它九种超临界压力冷却剂的高热通量数据。使用水来作为冷却是有益的,因为它与用液氢冷却相比较能使成本减少。这种设计方法已被选来用于在新的高压液氧/烃类喷注器试验时的水冷量热计室和水冷试车台燃烧室的设计。
Described herein is a thermal design method for cooling the combustion chamber using water at supercritical pressure and subcritical temperatures based on available water data and high heat flux data from nine other supercritical pressure coolants. Using water for cooling is beneficial as it enables cost savings as compared to cooling with liquid hydrogen. This method of design has been selected for use in the design of the water cooled calorimeter chamber and water cooled test bed combustor for the new high pressure liquid oxygen / hydrocarbon injector test.
