目前在往复压缩机填料密封上,普遍使用金属填料.用自润滑材料,实现无油润滑占极少数,用金属材料(大多是冶金粉末)制造的填料密封环,在使用中存在以下几个问题;一是由于密封环和活塞杆表面初始质量的优劣差异,需要磨合的时间长,磨合的主要指标之一是零件表面质量特性从最终加工后的原始状态转变到使用粗糙度,摩擦副之一填料,由于是金属材料,其硬度比非金属材料大,因此磨合周期长.二是金属填料不具备自润滑性,必须采用强制润滑,运行中一旦润滑系统出现断油故障,就造成于摩擦,从而造成填料磨损失效,活塞杆加剧磨损甚至报废.三是金属填料的使用寿命周期一般为3000～4000h,也即在一个大修周期内要更换一到两次密封填料,影响正常生产.
