看了陈耀光的近作,为之欣喜。作为第一代环境艺术专业的毕业生,他初衷不变,一直坚持自己的设计探索,终于趟出一条属于自己的设计的路子。虽说,陈氏的作品离“杰出”还有距离,难为他十来年如一日,苦苦耕耘,坚持自己的职业理念,有了今天的设计面貌。我原来计划写一篇文章对他的作品评论一番。然而,一动笔,我的思绪就变了。缘由是近一两年来,也就是说离开浙江美院之后,我一直在反思一件事:搞了十几年的环境艺术教育,这条路子到底对与否?如果对,事情将应如何继续;如果错,将如何去纠偏?可是,前后十几年的事,借一篇短文也说不大清楚,我寻思还是从环境艺术之称谓与教育说起。
After reading the recent works of Chen Yaoguang, I am delighted. As a graduate of the first generation of environmental arts, he never changed his mind. He has always insisted on his own design exploration, and he has finally found a way of designing his own. Although Chen’s works are far from “outstanding”, it is difficult for him to work hard for the past ten years, stick to his own professional ideas, and have the design of today. I originally planned to write an article commenting on his work. However, with a stylus, my thoughts changed. The reason is that in the past year or two, that is to say after leaving the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts, I have been reflecting on one thing: I have engaged in more than ten years of environmental art education. Is this path right or not? If yes, how things will continue If you are wrong, how will you correct it? However, after a dozen or so years ago, it is not clear to borrow a short essay. I think about it from the title of environmental art and education.
