Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation in diabetic patients with cataract. Methods: From March 2013 to March 2014, 60 cases of diabetic cataract patients treated in our hospital were selected as observation group and 60 cases of simple cataract patients as control group. Phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation were performed respectively. Therapeutic effect. Results: The incidence of corneal endothelium edema, anterior chamber fiber exudation, post-pupillary adhesion, posterior capsular opacification and the diffuse to the lens surface in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). There was no significant difference between the two groups in corrected visual acuity (P> 0.05). Conclusion: The effective control of blood sugar in cataract patients with diabetes mellitus can improve the clinical effect of phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation, reduce the chances of complications and improve visual acuity.
