介绍用截取流量法测出涡流淘金机上、下两大部分各截面的切向速度、径向速度和轴向速度的分布规律，并将它们与普通的分级水力旋流器进行比较，发现涡流淘金机作为分选旋流器的特例，其流场的变化特征，深入地分析分选旋流器的分选机理，指出了分选旋流器能按矿物密度分选矿物的根本原因。
