国际档案圆桌会议是各国最高档案机构领导人定期会晤的国际档案组织,始于1954年。按国际档案理事会会章规定,参加国际档案圆桌会议的代表必须是国际档案理事会的甲类会员。国际档案圆桌会议在国际档案大会闭会期间,每年召开一次会议,从1954～1993年共举行了28次会议。圆桌会议主要讨论国际档案界共同关心的重大业务问题,对发展档案学理论和档案事业起了积极的推动作用,使各国档案界对档案在行政管理和学术研究中作用的认识更加深入。
The International Archives Roundtable is an international archives organization that meets regularly with leaders of archival agencies of various countries. It began in 1954. According to the rules of the International Archives Council, delegates to the International Archives Roundtable must be Class A members of the International Archives Board. The International Archives Roundtable meets once a year during the period between the closure of the International Archives Congress and from 28 meetings from 1954 to 1993. The round table mainly discussed major business issues of common concern to the international archives community and played a positive role in promoting the development of archival theory and archival work so as to enable the archives community to deepen their understanding of the role of archives in administration and academic research.
