在外交政策上,中国变得强硬了,但这是否适当呢?这得从2008年说起。2008年最重要的事件是国际金融危机于美国爆发,这次危机不仅损害了美国经济,也影响了美国的软实力,因此很多中国人相信这意味着美国的衰落。所以他们认为中国在外交政策上应该更强硬。我觉得这是个误解,虽然美国衰退了一些,但它没有衰落。中国外交政策更多的强硬态度反而给处理中美关系带来了更多困难。在对待邻国上也一样,像印度、日本、越南等等。
In the foreign policy, China has become tougher, but is this appropriate? This has to be said from 2008. The most important incident in 2008 was the outbreak of the international financial crisis in the United States. This crisis not only harmed the U.S. economy but also affected the soft power of the United States. Many Chinese believe this means the decline of the United States. So they think China should be tougher in its foreign policy. I think this is a misunderstanding. Although the United States has declined somewhat, it has not declined. The fact that the tougher attitude toward China’s foreign policy has brought even more difficulties in handling Sino-U.S. Relations. The same applies to neighboring countries, such as India, Japan, Vietnam and so on.
