2007年2月16日,温家宝总理主持召开国务院常务会议,原则批准研制大型飞机正式立项,同意组建大型客机股份公司,标志着我国中断了30多年的制造大飞机的梦想,有望在不久的将来得以实现。然而,设计研制大飞机需要突破很多关键技术,先进钛合金技术便是其中之一。为了解未来大飞机设计研制中钛合金技术的创新突破及对产业的促进作用,本刊记者走访了中国科学院院士、中国一航北京航空材料研究院研究员曹春晓。
