弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫的代表作《达洛卫夫人》以一战后的伦敦为背景,通过记叙克拉丽莎·达洛维和塞普蒂默斯·沃伦·史密斯两个相辅相成的主线人物的命运以及社会百态阐释了“生与死”这一永恒主题。本文以空间概念为依托,通过分析伍尔夫小说《达洛卫夫人》中的凸显的三种空间形式:景观空间、社会空间及其个人空间来剖析小说所要展现的死亡主题,以期揭示生命真谛。
Virginia Woolf’s masterpiece “Lady Dalloway” is based on London after World War I by recording the fate of two mutually reinforcing main characters, Clarissa Dalloway and Sept Timothy Warren Smith, and Social conditions explain the eternal theme of “life and death.” Based on the concept of space, this article analyzes the theme of death in the novel by analyzing the three prominent spatial forms in Mrs. Dalloway: landscape space, social space and his personal space, in order to reveal the true meaning of life .
