英语作为一门语言学科,与人文关系密不可分,但长期以来的初中英语教学往往以认知教学为主要目标,注重学生对语言知识的认知情况,但是这种以基础知识占据主要地位的教学模式忽视了学生的身心发展,造成部分学生高分低能、缺乏人文精神等负面影响。因此,初中英语教学在讲解基础语言知识以外,还应当在教学过程中渗入人文精神的教育,从而提高英语教学的整体水平和综合能力。
