With ESA support, Aeroflot will test re-entry into the Atmospheric Test Vehicle (ARD). The cone-shaped ARD weighs 2.8 t and the first flight test is scheduled to be scheduled at the end of 1996 and will be followed by the second launch of the Arion 5 launch vehicle (due to the first launch of the Ariane 5 rocket unsuccessfully, the second launch estimate Postponed until 1997). Its purpose is to gain experience with the development of Crew Transfer Vehicles (CTVs) by ESA to enable it to penetrate the Alpha Space Station. The ARD will allow re-entry into the atmosphere with landing accuracy of 4 to 5 km, which is three times better than Apollo reentry navigation. The second purpose of the test is whether or not a temporary communication interruption of 300 s between 77 and 54 km can be solved. Another test
