XYD—2型液压捣固机于1980年通过部级技术鉴定,该机升降采用双导向柱单升降油缸,整个结构与过去双升降油缸(XYD—1型)相比,不仅结构趋于合理,而且由于提升速度加快(由6.48秒变为3.18秒),使工效提高约三分之一。该机具有操作方便,捣固质量好,故障较少等优点,受到广大养路工人欢迎。近年来,随着列车密度不断增加,捣固机上道作业显得越来越困难,有些线路区段捣固机则难以上道,机具频繁上下道带来了不安全因素,也影响其工作效率。如何充分开发利用XYD—2型液压捣固机,达到在短时间内能完成更多的工作量是值得探讨的。
