The latest survey commissioned by the French Pesticide Industry Association (UIPP) shows that most French consumers believe that since the Second World War, the use of pesticides has made food production (71%) and diversification (78%) possible. However, many people think that there has also been damage to food safety (53%), quality (58%) and grade (61%). More than half of the respondents (52%) believe that pesticides are dangerous to health and the environment, but 46% said that the risk depends on the amount of use.
