China is a long established musical cultural powerhouse with a profound cultural background. There are over 200 kinds of national musical instruments that exist and are still in use. There are over 360 kinds of traditional operas, as well as countless folk songs. Although the resources of Chinese music are so rich, due to various complicated reasons, the music industry in China has always been at a global backwardness, which is incompatible with the identity of a large cultural resource. According to the 2014 IFPI Annual Report, the U.S. music industry ranked first in the world for outstanding performance. Japan ranked second despite having a 16.7% drop from the previous year. South Korea, which has a population of 50 million, has rapidly taken off.
